We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing & Inventory officer to join our team. The position is full-time Monday – Friday, 8.30 am – 4.30 pm.

The focus of this role is to assist our Procurement & Logistics Manager with all aspects of purchasing & stock control. The role will involve inventory control, ordering stock, cycle counting, shrinkage management, coordinating with suppliers, sales, warehouse, and operations staff.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:
  • An eye for detail in stock forecasting and replenishment.
  • Import’s scheduling and tracking
  • Ability to develop supplier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Conduct cycle counting and assist in stock takes.
  • Accurate data entry and QA for goods inwards receipts
  • Liaise with our freight forwarders to ensure all required bookings and shipping documentation completed in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Intermediate – Excel skills.
  • Reconcile invoices against purchase orders.
  • Regularly review stock and manage out-of-stock situations.
  • Manage production works orders.
  • Adhoc duties as required.
     
What you will need to succeed:
  • Min 2 - 5 years’ experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with DRP / MRP functionality and a background in forecasting, procurement, and inventory
  • Overseas shipping/ freight forwarding experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, positive attitude and prepared to perform hands on duties.
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel formula functionality.
  • Ability to prioritize work during busy periods.
