We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing & Inventory officer to join our team. The position is full-time Monday – Friday, 8.30 am – 4.30 pm.
The focus of this role is to assist our Procurement & Logistics Manager with all aspects of purchasing & stock control. The role will involve inventory control, ordering stock, cycle counting, shrinkage management, coordinating with suppliers, sales, warehouse, and operations staff.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- An eye for detail in stock forecasting and replenishment.
- Import’s scheduling and tracking
- Ability to develop supplier relationships.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Conduct cycle counting and assist in stock takes.
- Accurate data entry and QA for goods inwards receipts
- Liaise with our freight forwarders to ensure all required bookings and shipping documentation completed in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Intermediate – Excel skills.
- Reconcile invoices against purchase orders.
- Regularly review stock and manage out-of-stock situations.
- Manage production works orders.
- Adhoc duties as required.
What you will need to succeed:
- Min 2 - 5 years’ experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with DRP / MRP functionality and a background in forecasting, procurement, and inventory
- Overseas shipping/ freight forwarding experience.
- Strong attention to detail, positive attitude and prepared to perform hands on duties.
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel formula functionality.
- Ability to prioritize work during busy periods.
